Originally built in 1906 as the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, this historic landmark is noted for hosting Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during the Civil Rights Movement. The restoration project was a joint venture between the City of Albany, Dougherty County, and the Mt. Zion Albany Civil Rights Movement Museum, Inc.
